Katihar Medical College runs under the Faculty of Medicine. The medical college was established in 1987 by Al-Karim Educational Trust, Patna and was inducted into Al-Karim University, Katihar in 2018. The medical college was awarded as the best medical college in north-east India in the Healthcare Excellence Summit & Award 2015 by Shri Shripal Yesso Naik, Hon'ble Union Ministry of State, Ministry of Ayush & Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India.
School of Allied and Health Care runs under the Faculty of Medicine and was established with the objective to produce well-trained Allied and Health Care professionals to cater to the growing need of the healthcare sector. Allied and Health Care courses in interdisciplinary medical subjects are becoming extremely significant in healthcare delivery systems. In recent years, there has been a growing need for qualified and well-trained Allied and Health Care personnel who form an essential constituent of the medical profession. In order to meet the increasing demand for qualified and trained Allied and Health Care personnel, the school offers undergraduate degree courses in Allied and Health Care.
