Department of Forensic Medicine and Toxicology

The department of Forensic Medicine has a dedicated and well-qualified faculty member conversant with all current trends in the subject.
The department has good facilities for the students, teaching and non-teaching staff such as a seminar room, a departmental library, a departmental museum, a demonstration room, a media preparation room and a departmental office room. The seminar room is equipped with overhead projector and LCD projector.
The departmental museum displays a whole range of posters and models, bones, animals (reptiles) and poisons etc. A demonstration room having a capacity of 30 students is available and is used for group discussions for small group and demonstrations (especially by audio-visual aids). The demonstration room has informative photographs and charts.

Research of General Medicine
The department accommodates space for patients, students, faculty members, steno-typist and clinical work done by post graduate students. 

It also has departmental record room, stores, on duty medical officers and teaching faculties ands restroom during emergency services.
Few of the academic activities conducted include weekly journal club, inter & intra-departmental seminars, debates, quizzes, CME programme organized by medical unit as per MCI rule and workshops organized by API.

OPD hours: 9am to 2pm on all working days
Emergency admission and patient care services are offered round the clock.
Round-the-clock cost-effective treatment is being offered to patients attending the institute in indoor, OPD, ICU & in Dialysis units.
