The department of General Surgery has been running postgraduate course since 2009. The department comprises of four units, functioning 24x7 of the week.
The main emphasis of the department is on imparting extensive theoretical and practical training to the undergraduate and junior residents. The department provides patientcare services and performs various sophisticated surgical procedures and it has well-equipped operation theatres with all modern equipment, specialty clinics and special services for patients.
