Dr Ahmad Ashfaque Karim is a social worker and politician. He is the founder Chairman of Al-Karim Educational Trust, Patna, Bihar; founder Chancellor of Al-Karim University, Katihar, Bihar; and founder Chairman-cum-Managing Director of Katihar Medical College, Katihar, Bihar. He is a Member of Parliament in the Rajya Sabha of the Indian Parliament from Rashtriya Janata Dal.
He completed his Ph.D. at Bihar College of Pharmacy wherein his thesis was titled, “Biochemical profile of oxovanadium (IV & V) complexes”.
He has been serving as a member of bodies across educational, political and social spectrum. He is currently serving as a member of Standing Committee on Member of Parliament Local Area Development Scheme (MPLADS); a member of Standing Committee on Chemicals and Fertilizers; and a member of Consultative Committee for Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution.
In the past he has served as a member of senate and as a member of syndicate for one and two terms respectively at B.N Mandal University, Madhepura, Bihar. He also served as a member of Standing Committee on Water Resources and a member of Consultative Committee for Ministry of Health and Family Welfare from 2018 to 2019.

Dr S Moied Ahmed is a graduate (MBBS) from Calcutta University, post graduate (MD) and doctor of philosophy (PhD) from AMU, Fellow in Critical Care Medicine from Sir Ganga Ram Hospital (New Delhi) and International Fellow in Intensive Care Medicine from Leeds Teaching University Hospital, UK. He has also been awarded the Fellow of American College of Chest Physician (FCCP), Fellow of Indian College of Critical Care Medicine (FICCM), Fellow of International Medical Sciences Academy (FIMSA), Fellow of Indian College of Anaesthesiologists (FICA) and is a Member of National Academy of Medical Sciences (MNAMS). He has special interest in, Critical Care Medicine, Difficult Airway management and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation. He has been one of the Clinical Expert in Experts meet in Mechanical Ventilation at Switzerland for a couple of times. He is also the Instructor of Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Fundamental of Critical Care Support (FCCS) course and Difficult Airway management. He has been the Editor-in-Chief of Indian Journal of Anaesthesia (Central Supplement) and presently Journal of Resuscitation. He has more than 124 research papers published in indexed International and National journals such as Anaesthesia, Anesthesia & Analgesia, Chest, Journal of the European Society of Intensive Care Medicine, Acta Anaesthesiol Scan, JETS, IJCCM, IJA, JOACP, IJP, etc. He is member of the editorial board and peer reviewer of various National and International Journals. In the field of airway management, he is one of the authors in framing the All India Difficult Airway Guidelines. In the field of Resuscitation, he is the Lead author in framing the Indian CPR guidelines (COLS, BCLS, CCLS). In the domain of intensive care, he has extensively worked on the newer management strategies with HFOV in ARDS patients, analysed the factors influencing the outcome of snake bite victims, suicidal hanging victims, organophosphorus poisoning and highlighted the role of antibiotic rotation, HME filters in decreasing incidence of ICU infection. He has organized a number of workshops and CMEs and has been the Workshop Director on management of difficult airway, mechanical ventilation, CPR in the department and in National and State Conferences.
Dr Moied has been felicitated twice by the Vice Chancellor of AMU for bringing laurel to the university in 2009 and 2010. He has been felicitated by the Honorable Vice President of India for his contribution towards framing the Indian Guidelines for CPR. He has also been felicitated by the President of Indian Society of Anaethesiology (ISA) for his contribution in framing the ISA Difficult Airway Module and CPR guidelines. He has received the prestigious Dr Y V Bhoj Raj award for writing the best review article in Indian Journal of Anaesthesia (IJA) in 2016 and the INO-US Best Academician and Researcher of the year in 2008.
Dr Moied has clinical & teaching experience of more than 30 years post MD. He also pursued PhD in 2012. He has worked under various capacities after acquiring Post Graduation (MD) and has worked as Professor since 2012 and superannuated as Professor in July 2024. He has vast administrative experience as Deputy Medical Superintendent of J N Medical College for 5 years, as Officiating Chairman for approximately 8 months and subsequently as regular Chairman for 3 years and is Teacher In-Charge of ICU for more than 20 years. During his tenure as Chairman, he was instrumental increasing the MD seats in Anaesthesiology from 9 to 19. He has also established a Simulation lab for UG and PG students for training Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation. He is the Director of the Scientific Committee of IRCF and has been the Chairman of ISCCM, President Elect of AIDAA and has been President of ISA (UP State) and presently elected as the EC member of ISCCM National. He was also the nodal officer of MCI / NMC for JNMC&H. He has been re-employed as a Professor, in the dept of Anaesthesiology & Critical Care, J N Medical College, AMU, in Sept ’24 and is presently working as a Professor.

Prof. (Dr.) Seyed Ehtesham Hasnain was the Vice-Chancellor of Jamia Hamdard (Deemed to be University).
Prof. (Dr.) Seyed E. Hasnain is a Padma Shri and received– The Order of Merit (Das Verdienstkreuz, 1.Klasse), Germany’s Highest Civilian Award from the President of Germany, equivalent of India’s Bharat Ratna. The American Academy of Microbiology, USA elected him as Fellow. He was recently conferred with the ICMR’s B.R. Ambedkar Award, the highest award for excellence in Biomedical research.
Prof. (Dr.) Hasnain was a Member (2004-2009, 2009-2014) of Science Advisory Council to the Prime Minister (SAC-PM) and was a Member of Scientific Advisory Committee to the Union Cabinet. He was Chairman of Biotech Advisory Council, Government of Andhra Pradesh for several years and a Member of Biotech Advisory Council of many other State Governments, including Gujarat.
He received Humboldt Research Prize (Alexander-von-Humboldt Foundation, Germany); the Robert Koch Fellowship of the Robert Koch Institute, Berlin. He was elected as a member of the German National Academy of Sciences, Leopoldina and also as a Fellow of TWAS, Trieste.
Hasnain is also recipient of many Indian Awards such as G.D. Birla Award, Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Prize, FICCI Award, J.C. Bose National Fellow Award, Ranbaxy Research Award, Goyal Award, Bhasin Award etc. and is an elected Fellow of all the major Science Academies of India (FNA, FASc, FNASc). He is a recipient of honorary Degrees from Universities in India and abroad and is the 3rd Indian (Dr APJ Abdul Kalam, 2009, Dr Amartya Sen, 2010) to receive an Honorary Doctorate (2011) from the Queen’s University, UK.
Hasnain is a scientist, an institution builder, policy maker, and an administrator. He taught at Delhi University, worked at the National Institute of Immunology, New Delhi and was the first Director of Centre for DNA Fingerprinting and Diagnostics (CDFD), Government of India and made CDFD a gold standard for DNA based crime investigations in the country.
As the Vice Chancellor of the University of Hyderabad, he made it the #1 University of India displacing JNU and DU for which the Prime Minister of India gave the PURSE Award.
Hasnain was the Chairman of the Academic Committee of the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGI, Chandigarh) and member of the PGI Institute Body and Governing Council and is a Member of the Research Advisory Committee of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi. He is a member of the University Grants Commission (UGC); Governing Councils of Indian Institute of Advanced Studies, Shimla; Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore; IIM, Kozhikode; IISER-Bhopal and several other institutions; policy-making bodies of the Ministries of S&T, MHRD, Health and Defence. He is a member of the Board of Directors/Audit Committees/Remuneration Committees of a number of Companies.
He is well known internationally for his research on Mycobacterium tuberculosis, the TB causing bacterium, and has more than 250 publications in peer-reviewed journals of high impact, and over a dozen of patents globally. He has travelled widely to all the continents of the world and has given guest lectures at top Institutions such as Oxford, Cambridge (UK), Harvard, Yale, Stanford, University of California, Salk Institute (USA), Institute Pasteur (France), Max Planck Inst, Frei Univ, Koln Univ (Germany), NUS (Singapore), Univ of Canberra (Australia), China, Thailand, Brazil, Senegal, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Bangladesh, Canada, etc.

Prof. (Dr.) Syed Mohammad Karim has over 45 years of experience in both teaching and administration. He is working as Pro-Vice chancellor, Aryabhatta Knowledge University since 2015. He is currently serving as a member of Advisory Committee of the Chancellor of Universities of Bihar; and was a member of Search Committee for Selection of Vice-Chancellors / Pro-Vice-Chancellors of Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar Bihar University, Muzaffarpur and Maulana Mazharul Haque Arabic & Persian University, Patna in 2017.
He has worked as a Director, Higher Education in the Government of Bihar from 2014 to 2015. He also worked as a Registrar at Maulana Mazharul Haque Arabic & Persian University, Patna from 2012 to 2014; and as a Controller of Examinations at Maulana Mazharul Haque Arabic & Persian University, Patna from 2010 to 2013.
He worked as a Professor in the Post Graduate Department of Physics at V. K. S. University, Ara from 2003 to 2010; as the Director of M.C.A. course in the same university for 3 years; Professor at Maharaja College, Ara which is a constituent college of V.K.S. University, Ara from 1995 to 2003; as a Reader in Physics from 1986 to 1995 at Maharaja College, Ara; and as a Lecturer in Department of Physics at Maharaja College Ara from1976 to 1986, which was a constituent unit of Magadh University, Bodh Gaya, and now is under V.K.S University Ara, Bihar.

Wazainuddin Ansari is a retired BAS officer. He started his career as a Founder Manager of the Bihar Awami Co-operative Bank Ltd., Patna in 1987. In the year 1988, he was selected in MPPCS as a District Labour Officer. He rendered his service as District Labour Officer in Madhya Pradesh during 1988-89. After that he was selected in BPSC as BAS Officer. He joined as a probationary Bihar Administrative Service officer in 1989 in Bihar. During 32 years of service in Bihar government, he served in various field as BDO/CO in different districts, SDM, Marhaura (Saran) Additional Collector, Gaya and Additional Collector, Patna. Finally he super annuated on 31.12.2020 when he was posted as CEO, Bihar State Sunni Waqf Board, Patna.

Prof. (Dr.) M. Hassan, with over 30 years of teaching experience and 25 years of administrative experience, is presently the Principal of Dr. Zakir Hussain Teachers Training College, Laheriasarai and also the Dean of the Faculty of Education at L.N. Mithila University, Darbhanga for two terms.
He is a member of Examination Board and Academic Council of LNMU Darbhanga and many bodies of many Universities of Bihar.
