Position: Assistant Hardware & Networking Engineer in the Department of Information Technology

Role: Non-Teaching, helps install, maintain, and fix computer systems. Key focus areas include desktop/server hardware, local area networks (LAN/WAN), and basic user support.

Location: Al-Karim University, Katihar, Bihar

Qualification:

· Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related engineering field.

· Desirable certificates on PC hardware and software troubleshooting or CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) (for fundamental network routing and switching)

Experience: 1 to 4+ years of experience

Skills:

· Knowledge of PC architecture (RAM, SSD/HDD, motherboards, power units).

· Familiarity with TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and VPN setups.

· Ability to install and manage Windows and Linux operating systems.

· Basic configuration understanding for switches and routers (such as Cisco or Aruba).

· Quick problem-solving under pressure.

· Clear communication to explain fixes to non-technical staff.
