Position: Assistant Professor to Professor in the Department of Department of Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgery (CTVS).

Role: Teaching, The faculty member will be responsible for delivering comprehensive patient care in cardiovascular and thoracic surgery, teaching, academic mentorship, clinical research, and departmental administration. The role includes performing and assisting in elective and emergency cardiothoracic surgical procedures, participating in multidisciplinary clinical discussions, ensuring quality and patient safety

Qualification:

· MS/DNB in General Surgery.

· M.Ch./DrNB in Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgery (CTVS) from a recognized institution.

· Valid Medical Registration Number is mandatory.

· Eligibility for the post of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor must be as per the latest National Medical Commission (NMC) guidelines.

Experience:

Fresher and experienced candidates may apply, subject to meeting the eligibility criteria prescribed under the latest NMC guidelines for the respective faculty position.

Skills:

· Strong clinical knowledge in cardiovascular and thoracic surgical care.

· Proficiency in adult cardiac surgery, thoracic surgery, vascular surgery, and emergency cardiothoracic procedures, as applicable to experience and expertise.

· Ability to perform pre-operative assessment, operative management, and post-operative critical care.

· Excellent surgical, clinical decision-making, and patient management skills.

· Strong teaching, mentoring, and academic presentation abilities.

· Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

· Ability to work collaboratively with cardiologists, anesthesiologists, intensivists, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.

· Knowledge of NABH/NMC standards, infection control protocols, medical ethics, and quality assurance practices.

· Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with Hospital Information Systems (HIS) and Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
