Position: Admission Counsellor
We are inviting applications for the position of Admission Counsellors for our different Schools e.g. School of Pharmacy, School of Nursing, School of IT & Management and School of Allied Health & Care under the umbrella of Al-Karim University, Katihar.
An Admissions Counsellor recruits, guides, and supports prospective students through the entire application process, acting as the primary point of contact for educational institutions. They are responsible for promoting programs, conducting interviews, evaluating applicant credentials, attract and motivate / counsel students and fulfilling enrollment targets including organizing campus tours, reviewing applications, and offering guidance on financial aid and career goals.
Key Responsibilities
• Recruitment & Outreach: Promote the institution by visiting high schools, participating in college fairs, and managing communication campaigns.
• Student Advising: Guide applicants through the application process, helping them select programs and understand admission requirements.
• Application Review: Evaluate student applications, credentials to determine eligibility.
• Interviews & Evaluation: Conduct interviews with prospective students to assess their suitability for the institution.
• Administrative Duties: Maintain applicant records, verify documents, and assist with final admissions decisions.
• Event Planning: Arrange campus visits, open houses, and orientations.
Required Skills
• Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for public speaking and counseling.
• Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build relationships with students, parents, and school counselors.
• Organization: Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle high volumes of applications.
• Travel: Willingness to travel for events
• Technical Proficiency: Knowledge of CRM software and MS Office Suite.

Qualification: Minimum Bachelor’s degree preferred (Psychology or related fields desirable)
Experience: Relevant experience in educational institutions may be considered.
